In its chronic on the current Syrian capital, titled "Damascus" and "Evoking the luminous memory of Damascus", discusses various issues relating to social, political, historical and cultural aspects of this ancient city, among which urban modernization, the place of women in society, places of everyday life, the shrines of Christian and Muslim religions, etc. Finally, with his extraordinary talent and literary prose, he presents simultaneously the plane / real and mythic vision or Damascus, considered in their world as "a dream city" where life goes between hallucination and reality.
